My dog, Chigger, was run over and killed by a gasoline delivery tanker in 1954. I was 10 years old. Chigger was about 5. The driver did not stop.
It was a Gulf Oil truck. At that time, Gulf Oil was one of the seven largest oil companies in the USA. The company ceased to exist as an independent organization in 1984 - 30 years later.
Moral: If you run over a little boy's dog, stop and apologize.
