Nonsense Emails

I've been getting "nonsense emails" for several months. They usually contain a link to a website, and some words that make no sense at all. Here's an example:

This came as shocking news to many contestants, who, demonstrating one of the core weaknesses of American culture, had been told again and again that they had a talent that they in fact lacked. When I attempt to mount the new unit to the same folder, it won't let me. My team has been happy with the HTML 4 strict DTD, which puts you in standards mode without the super-strictness of XHTML. I mean, it's an online game, right?

I wonder if the senders of these emails expect to get any results. Does anyone click on an unknown link because there is some senseless verbiage in the same email?

It is a mystery to me.
